“ Very lovely place for some great tacos and elotes. For two people getting tacos elotes horchatas, it was about 75 before tipping. Very clean tables. Service is top rated. Jonathan told us about his parents, very personable and kind. Atmosphere as a first timer had us reading the walls, and we noticed Mr. Flavortown (Guy Fieri) has been involved here. It's pretty awesome stuff. ”

“ The food here is always excellent. It's real Mexican food and not Tex-Mex (no shade intended). If you want Tex-Mex then this is not the place. If you want amazing true Mexican food with awesome freshness and flavor, then you have to visit. They are very proud of their food and with good reason. It's not cheap but then again you get what you pay for. Each time I've been it has been great. Sometimes it's next to impossible to get as seat, but that's only a testament to how great the food is. The small size and style of the restaurant makes it feel like you're in "el Distrito Federal" Mexico City. All the employees are so kind and always helpful as well. Stop thinking about going and just go. You won't regret it! ”

“ First off this a small little business tucked in a quiet little spot right of Germantown Parkway. If it's busy you will be getting your food to go! All I wanted was 4 tacos and elope corn, I didn't imagine I would pay 30 for 4 street tacos surrounded by a small serving of chips and salsa. I couldn't mix my tacos so I got 4 of them which was odd since the price you're paying should allow you to do what you want to do. The corn was delicious the tacos were mediocre at best but I love the avocado on top of the tacos and salsa. I can find street tacos for 2.50 with any kind of meat you want with peppers, onions and sauce on the side. If you're feeding a big family whewwww you're going to spend a mighty good penny at this place so please please be aware they do not sell tacos individually, at least not to me. I wasn't even offered to get just tacos with no chips on the side or cucumbers. It was my first time so I don't know how it runs I just know for 4 street tacos and elope corn that was pretty expensive! ”
“ We love Las Tortugas (Deli Mexicana)! They are the only place I've ever been that upon ordering Elote you are given the choice of whole, split in half, or in a cup. I love that they give you the option. Their Elote is amazing too! The Sandwiches come cut in half, which is another especially lovely touch. We always get the De Aguacate (Avocado) and the De Queso Fresco Oaxaca (Cheese) Sandwiches and trade halves so we both get to have some of each. Honestly they are both so amazing. It's hard to choose just one, so sharing makes the decisions easier. It's nice they have 2 Vegetarian Sandwiches to choose from. A trip wouldn't feel complete without their fresh juices as well. His favorite is the Mango, while mine is the Cantaloupe (Melon). Everything is made fresh by super nice people. The only downside is that it is expensive. 2 sandwiches, 2 Elotes, and 2 Juices will be over 70. We absolutely love this place, but the prices do make it a special treat place for us instead of an everyday lunch place. Quality does cost extra though, and they are super high quality. We really appreciate that since everything is made fresh on location that they know exactly what is in their food and are able to accommodate my food allergies. ”
